FAQ

How can I know if this foldable solar panel 180W is compatible with my power station before buying? >

Please read the product detail page carefully before placing your order. This solar panel comes with a solar charging cable that includes four connectors: XT-60, Anderson, DC7909, and DC8020. Before purchasing, please confirm that your power station's solar interface is compatible with at least one of these four connectors. Additionally, the output voltage of this solar panel is 17.3V, so please ensure that your power station's input voltage range includes 17.3V.

Why is my electronic device charging slowly or not charging? >

i. Please check the environment and weather. Electricity generation may be reduced or
disrupted during cloudy or rainy conditions.
ii. Confirm that the solar panel is oriented towards direct sunlight. Adjust its position to
ensure sufficient sunlight exposure on the surface.
iii. Please check if the output cable is properly plugged in or if there are any defects or
loose connections. Try reconnecting the output cable.
iv.Please inspect the surface of the solar panel for any obstructions. Remove any obsta
cles if present.
4. Solar panel and power station connection instructions:
a. Connect the MC-4 cable to the MC-4 interface on the solar panel.
b. The output end of the MC-4 cable includes DC5521 (Male), DC7909 (Male), DC8020(Male),
XT60 (Female), or Anderson connectors. Please choose the appropriate connector to con
nect to your power station for charging.
c. If necessary, you can use the provided DC5521 (Female) to DC6544/6330/5525/5521/
5517/4817/4017/35135/7450/7955 (Male) adapters for connecting.
d.Please ensure that all connection cables, adapters, and ports are securely attached to
ensure proper charging. You can check the charging status through the display screen on
your powered devices.
Product Maintenance
After long-term use, dust may adhere to the surface of the panel, blocking sunlight and
reducing the cells ability to absorb sunlight. Regularly clean the solar panel by gently
wiping it with a damp cloth. Do not use corrosive liquids to clean the solar panel.
※NOTICE! The DC7909 (8.0) and DC8020 sockets may appear similar but are not compatible.
Connecting a DC7909 (8.0) plug directly into a DC8020 socket will not supply power. If your
device does not charge when using the DC7909 (8.0) connector, please check if it has a DC8020
socket. If so, use the included DC7909 (8.0) to DC8020 adapter to ensure proper power supply.

v. Please check if your charging device is overheating. Some devices may automatically
adjust their charging power or even pause charging based on temperature condi
tions. In such cases, please pause using the device or shut it down, wait for it to cool
down, and then resume charging

How much power can a zoupw 180W portable solar panel actually produce in real-world use? >

In full sunlight (with irradiance above 800W/m²), and with the portable solar panel 180W properly angled, its output power can reach over 150W. However, if the sunlight intensity is lower, such as when there are clouds obstructing the sunlight, the panel's output power will decrease.Generally, you can expect the rv solar panel to perform well in most situations, but it's important to consider that real-world conditions may result in lower power output than the maximum rated value

Premium Panel

I purchased this panel 6 months ago and it has been an awesome panel in every category. I have owned several solar panels from other respected brands but there was always something missing and just no comparison to this one. This panel is highly efficient and brings in a true 177 to 180 Watts on a clear sunny sky. It is the easiest panel to setup and pack away. The aluminum frame is very durable and light weight. I especially love the storage bag that it comes with, very large and spacious. The included accessory cables are also nice, thick and easy to connect. I honestly don’t have anything bad to say about this panel, the panel and everything thats included is very high quality and built to last. Extremely impressed. I liked it so much that I ordered a second one a few months later to double the power coming into my power station. One final thing I wanted to mention is that after making my second purchase, I got in contact with Zoupw support team regarding a special request and they were just so nice and easy to work with and also very quick to respond. I am confident that if ever I experience any issues, they will back up their product 100%. Hope this was helpful for anyone looking for an honest review. Thanks again for the awesome panels Zoupw!

A solar panel that gives you more then rated at. N-Type 16BB is the way to go.

I have never had a solar panel that actually give me the wattage that it claim until now. I got more than it claimed I got 182 watts out of this 180 wattsolar panel. And I can't get over how small it is. other panel that I have had were much bigger and not as well built as this 180 watt panel. I am a believer in the Zoupw panels.

Very efficient panels

Very efficient panels, better output in variable sky conditions and heat don't effect them as much as other panels I've got. Easy setup and quality made panels.
Liked them so much I justordered aanother 180v panels.

180w foldable solar panel

This is a large framed foldable solar panel with folding supports although if it's windy consider laying them on the ground flat so they are less likely to fly off, or flip over. The panels are pretty durable and have been flipped a few times by strong wind gusts. I saw as much as 170w in my non optimal test conditions, which consisted of evening sun and dirty panels

Nice foldable solar panel and weight isn't too bad

I have one other folding solar panel that came with my EcoFlow power station. While it does mostly work at forty five watts it took three days of sun to fully charge my power station. I could just grab one of my little one hundred watt panels but that's less convenient when camping and such. I've been using other ZoupW 16BB panels for a little while now (remember those one hundred watts ones) and they have always performed well. Often exceeding the rated amount by ten percent or so. When I was looking for a portable panel it was an easy decision given that ZoupW has those too.

These panels are reasonably light but I would not be backpacking with them of course. Given the size they are easy enough to move around and even easier to deploy. I do wish the panels could be tilted back a little more though. My solar angle is closer to twenty five percent this time of year and the panel only seems to go to about thirty five or so. The multi device cable is handy if you have different power stations. All mine use XT60 so I'll opt to use that cable and save a little bulk. The only thing about this I don't love is the case. Don't get me wrong it's nice they include it but it's awkward to put the panels in it and the cover doesn't really offer much more than dust protection. Especially since the solar sides face out. I might try to find some foam that will fit in there with it to add some protection.

Pretty impressed!

I'm actually pretty impressed with this solar charger for my GoalZero Yeti 1000 Lithium. It seems to be built very rugged and can withstand some camping trips (and would be great for hurricane preparedness charging). We all know that, for example, if a Solar Panel says it is 100 Watts, you will not get ALL 100 watts from it. Keeping that in mind, my Yeti 1000 Lithium was drained completely to zero battery. I wanted to plug this new solar panel charger in and test it. It is a nice sunny April day (not even the brightest dead of summer days yet). The instructions clearly say to open the foldable legs on the back of the panel and face it, angled, toward the sun. As a test, I first laid the panels on the tailgate of my truck and it was only getting about 80 watts... then, following the directions, I set it angled facing the sun and it instantly jumped up to 164 watts input. My GoalZero told me that from 0% battery level, this solar panel will take 5.7 hours to charge to 100%. I would say that is VERY acceptable to me considering this GoalZero Yeti 1000 Lithium can run whatever I use for camping/survival all day. That means that if I needed to charge it during the day and let it run my stuff at night, it should be able to do it. This solar charger appears to function properly and as advertised and when used in conjunction with my battery backup, I believe I could technically have unlimited survival power (within reason of course). The panel when folded fits nicely in the provided carrying case, which is also very nice I might add, so COULD be carried on the back of someone if using it for tent/solo camping. It is not very heavy at all and has several different types of connections all built into its charging cord. Plus, it comes with a selection of other adapters. I would feel comfortable recommending this product, wholeheartedly, to anyone in my family (or yours)! I'll attach a couple photos to show you how I tested it at the back of my truck and the screen of my display. Lastly, while it may FEEL a little pricey, I believe you get what you pay for, and this one is priced right. Good luck, be safe out there and enjoy life on your adventures!

Perfect solar panel for on the Go

Fantastic! Love it! It's made very nice. Very quick to set up. I really like that part. One of the nicer ones very lightweight perfectly made great for everyday use uses MC4 connectors comes with another connector that will work with most solar generators and most plug-in stuff. Really like it very much

What a pleasant surprise...

Purchased two of these panels to power my power station in my Motorhome. Connecting both in series with late afternoon sun and produced 320 watts. Very happy with the panels and the easy setup. I also have a 200 watt portable solar panel from a different vendor that have flexible panels with cumbersome legs for support. Frankly, they are a pain to set up and adjust to the sun. The Zoupw panels set up easily, adjust quickly and weight half what the other panels weight. I think I made a good choice...

Fantastic panels!

Bought two of these 180w folding panels because of their size and performance. I've been using solar panels for the past 20 years and have never had one make its rated power. Always close. Within 10%. But these Zoupw panels actually exceeded their rating! I was making over 400w with the two 180 panels in series.

They are strong, light weight, and come with really well made and thought out accessories.

I am very happy with the purchase and will look to zoupw in the future if I decide to invest in more

ZOUPW panels deliver on their stated power output

Unlike other companies that sell solar panels, ZOUPW panels deliver on their stated power output. I got the 180 W panel and it consistently put out 170 to 180 W of power and the quality of the panels are on a professional level, great products and will be buying more in the future

Not as portable as others, but delivers on power production.

This is a bit of an odd portable solar panel. It is much larger than others, with a metal frame. It has the standard connectors that other panel have- MC4 and adapters to most other styles of connectors. My testing found that it did deliver at around the rated 180 watts. The panels themselves are durable, but the frame is pretty thin to maintain low weight. This is not the size to haul with you everywhere, but it really performs when you need power.
