FAQS About ZOUPW foldgo 200 watt foldable solar panel
Simply adjust the 200 watt solar panel portable so that the shadow of the black dot aligns with the center of the scale plate. This will ensure the optimal tilt angle for your solar panel. The closer the sunlight hits at a 90° angle, the more solar energy it will capture, reducing the charging time.
First, please carefully confirm before placing an order whether your portable power station's solar input port is compatible with any of the adapters we provide (XT-60, Anderson, DC7909, DC5521, DC8020). If you're unsure, please consult with us beforehand. Additionally, if you receive the solar panel and find it incompatible with your portable power station, please let us know—we’ll help resolve the issue for you.
The actual output power of a 200watt solar panel is typically lower than its rated power due to several factors:
Solar Irradiance: Rated power is measured under Standard Test Conditions (STC), which assume optimal conditions: 1000W/m² of sunlight, a panel temperature of 25°C, and direct sunlight. In real conditions, sunlight intensity is often lower due to cloud cover, time of day, or geographical factors, leading to reduced output.
Temperature: Solar panels lose efficiency as their temperature rises. High temperatures cause a decrease in output power, as most panels have a negative temperature coefficient, meaning their output decreases as the temperature increases.
Angle and Orientation: If the panel is not positioned to directly face the sun or at the optimal angle, it will receive less sunlight, resulting in lower output.
Panel Aging: Over time, solar panels degrade, and their efficiency decreases. Typically, panels retain around 80% of their original output after 25 years.
Shading: Even partial shading (from trees, buildings, etc.) can significantly reduce a panel's output, as it affects the entire panel's performance.
It took me a while to decide on perfect solar panel. There are a lot of choices but nearly every other one was lacking something from of the list of qualities I was looking for.I wanted monocrystalline as opposed to polycrystalline ... (check!)I needed to get as close to 200 watt as I could for my budget ... (check!)I wanted an ETEF coating as I was concerned with windy weather and it getting scratched ... (check!)I wanted an MC-4 connector, which I believe is more water repellant ... (check)I wanted water resistance of at least IP65, this has IP67 ... (double check!)I hoped for magnetic handles to make it less cumbersome to open and close ... (check!)I hoped for USB C port ... (check!)I hoped for additional adapters ... (check)I almost settled for a name brand panel that matched my power bank but it only offered half the wattage for approx the same price and I didn't like fussing with one sided handle they provided and only 3 stands for a 4 panel unit. I know these issues might seem trivial but I'm showing my age lately and with this option I simply didn't have to settle for the omitted things that the other brand should have included for the price they were charging. The cherry on top was the fantastic customer support I received. Can't put a price on that these days. This review is on my own accord. It wasn't a free vine gift or any promotional offer or request. I just spent a lot of time trying to figure out the best products to put together an alternative power source for the upcoming hurricane season and wanted to share my experience. If you've ever had the experience of a cat 4 or 5 hurricane and power outage for nearly 2 weeks, I'm sure you'd understand.Five stars, all the way around. Thank you!Update Oct 12th after hurricane Milton. This really did the job for me. We were fortunate to have clear weather but no power after the storm. This charged my PowerBar up in a decent amount of time. Still five ,Reviewed in the United States on July 5
Works great for my Jackery 2000v2. Two of these get me about 370w -390w in great sun light.
The panels are efficient and came with an array of adapters. My Jackery 2000 charged in about 4 hours (from 75%)
Works great!. It's $400 cheaper than my original solar panels I got with my generator. Easy to install. Have it on my roof with the other panels.I just braced them with plywood and a 2 by 4 behind it to keep it from bowing in.( See picture) Would and will by others just like it.
