These ZOUPW 480W solar panels are amazing!

I recently purchased the ZOUPW 480W bifacial solar panels so that I could charge my EcoFlow Delta Pro 3.
Prior to the purchase, I read and also watched on YouTube the reviews on these ZOUPW panels so I could make an informed decision prior to making a purchase.
I also messaged ZOUPW customer service directly several times prior to deciding with my many questions of which were all answered very quickly.
These panels are amazing! Although they say 480W I’ve reached well over 500W of input in my EcoFlow generator with ideal sun and the right direction of how the panels are facing the sun. I would highly recommend these panels with no hesitation! They are very easy to setup and move around.
These panels for sure in my opinion deserve a 5+ star rating!

Worth it!

Nice and compact, weight is pretty light also. The panel exceeds my expectations!
That said I would have gotten the 480 watt panel they just came out with which is even lighter!

Goodbye EcoFlow Panels

Wow, I can't get rid of my janky Eco Flow panels fast enough, these are game changer! Eco Flow are fine panels but these crush them for ease of use and setup.

Here's What You Need To Know (Why I Didn't Buy One)

I do not own the panels but I wanted to provide constructive feedback as to why I would not own them. I'm giving 5 stars as to not tarnish reputation. This is just my own 2 cents. First bullet point. It is an extreme pain to constantly have to put the panels up and stake them down. They are so light they will topple or the wind will catch them and you risk damaging the panels. Secondly, the bifacial function is pointless if you lay them flat. This means constantly having to rotate them to position for optimal Sun. Additonally you'll only see bi-facial gain on reflective surfaces, so in the grass and dirt, nope, but light sand/concrete, yes. Problem is its easy to stake in grass, but hard to secure them on concrete. I prefer to just lay 2 Bluetti PV350s flat and get the same output. You could theoretically run two in parallel to max out say a Bluetti Elite 300 but you need to make sure the Y branch XT60 is rated to handle above 12AWG, since at safe operation under 80% load it can only handle 16A continuous. You are much safer so long as the main branch end is 10AWG. Whether you "trust" the maker of said cable, good luck. With so many knock off XT60 connectors it's a 50/50 shot. Sure they'll tell you its rated for 20A or 30A continuous but they are lying. Lastly, this panel can become too dangerous to use for 60V power stations due to cloud edge effects and cold weather panels. You need to apply a 20% penalty to account for this, meaning your safest open circuit voltage is 48V. The OCV of this panel is 49.3V. You would need to have a perfect storm of cold weather, a long extension cord, and cloud-edge to cause a spike over 60V, but there are other anomalies as well. There exists surge protection but its too costly. I simply prefer to have a safer voltage buffer. Lastly, how sturdy is the aluminum frame? It is marketed for weight savings, but how long before it heat warps or causes the panel to come out of the frame? Food for thought.

Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback—we genuinely appreciate the thoughtful discussion.

You're absolutely right that every solar panel design involves trade-offs. Our foldable panels are designed primarily for portability, making them ideal for camping, RV travel, backup power, and other applications where users need to transport and deploy their panels frequently. For customers looking for a permanent installation, we also offer rigid glass solar panels, which are better suited for fixed mounting.

Regarding bifacial performance, we agree that the rear side requires reflected light to generate additional power. Raising the panel with its built-in kickstands isn't an extra step unique to bifacial panels—it's also the best way to optimize the front-side output by improving the angle toward the sun. On hard surfaces such as concrete, many users simply secure the kickstands with sandbags, rocks, or other weights when stakes aren't practical.

Partial shading is another good point. Like all solar panels, shading can reduce power output. To help minimize these effects, our panels incorporate bypass diodes that allow unaffected cell sections to continue producing power when part of the panel is shaded.

As for the aluminum frame, it was carefully selected to provide an excellent balance of strength, durability, and portability. Many independent reviewers and thousands of customers have been using our foldable panels in real-world conditions, and their experience has shown the frame to be both reliable and robust.

We sincerely appreciate your perspective. Feedback like yours helps customers better understand the differences between portable foldable panels and fixed rigid panels, allowing them to choose the solution that best fits their own needs.

Good, but these do not weigh anywhere close to 22.5lb...

Good quality, but these do not weigh anywhere close to 22.49lb... They easily exceed 30lb without the storage bag on my scale. Company should update the spec sheet to provide the accurate weight.

Thank you for your feedback! The listed 22.5 lb (10.2 kg) refers to the net weight of the solar panel itself. When the protective carrying bag, cables, and accessories are included, the total weight will naturally be higher. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention, and we'll review our product description to make the distinction between net weight and package weight clearer for future customers.

This panel generates more than 480 watts in the hot Florida sun

This panel generates more than 480 watts in the hot Florida sun. It is fairly priced for the output delivered. I believe that most panels are doing well at 80 percent of rated watts, this one hit 500 in a hot sunny Florida day. There 450 did the same thing but is heavier. Either is a good choice.

522 watts right out of the box!

Got this as an accessory for my Ecoflow DP3. Was immediately impressed with how easy it was to set up.

The moment I plugged it in, my Ecoflow showed 522 watts input. Adjusted slightly to aim directly at the sun and got 535. Thumps up!
