FAQS About ZOUPW 30W Intelligent Solar Battery Trickle Maintainer

Please do not worry that such actions will damage your battery, as this product is equipped with an intelligent controller to prevent short circuits and overcurrent.

1. Please check the environment and weather. Electricity generation may be reduced or disrupted during cloudy or rainy conditions.
2. Confirm that the solar panel is oriented towards direct sunlight. Adjust its position to ensure sufficient sunlight exposure on the surface.
3. Please check if the output cable is properly connecting or if there are any defects or loose connections. Try reconnecting the output cable.
4. Please inspect the surface of the solar panel for any obstructions. Remove any obstacles if present.

1. The nominal output power is measured under STC (Standard Test Conditions), which involve a surface temperature of 25° C, air mass of 1.5, and solar
intensity of 1000W/m² — a globally recognized standard for ground solar panel testing. This is an idealized testing environment and may significantly
differ from actual usage conditions.
2. Nominal output power is directly proportional to the power and quantity of solar cells used in the solar panel. Therefore, different models of solar panels
may have different nominal output powers, and there is no direct one-to-one relationship with actual charging power.
3. Actual charging power is influenced by multiple factors, sunlight intensity, the orientation and angle of the solar panel, environmental temperature, air mass, charging protocols, and the maximum charging power supported by the connected devices.

In summary, nominal output power represents the theoretical maximum output of the solar panel under ideal conditions, as measured in the standardized STC environment. Actual charging power, on the other hand, is influenced by various practical factors and may be lower than the nominal output power

Portable, powerful charging for all sorts of uses

I keep a 12 Volt car battery charged on our boat dock for powering lights and a small water-irrigation pump. In the past, I had a windmill power supply to maintain charge, but it has a lot of moving parts, and costs 4x more than this solar panel. This panel, with its flex and lightweight, is great for my dock use, but would also make a nice roof addition to a camper. I measured 21 Volts DC (photo 2) in overcast sky. At 30W, it’s got more than just “trickle charge” maintenance. This could maintain a bank of 5 batteries, say for a golf cart, or large electric fence. Very impressive!

seems to work well

Seems like a good product, use it to keep a friends 2000 Chevy van battery topped off, so it doesn't run down in weeks between use. Would like to see more consumer info on how heavy duty a solar charger you need for your usage - wondering if this one was over-kill - also, did find myself wondering why solar chargers will not charge a battery that is dead, slowly charge it over time -

Reliable Power for My RV Adventures

This solar charger has been a great addition to my RV setup. It's easy to install and the waterproof design gives me peace of mind when leaving it outside. I love how it maintains my battery's charge even when I'm not using the RV for weeks. The multiple connection options are handy, and the LED indicators help me keep an eye on the charging status. While it works well in sunny conditions, I've noticed it's less effective on cloudy days. Overall, it's a solid product that does what it promises, keeping my RV battery ready to go whenever adventure calls.

Great for my ham gear

I pulled this out for a POTA ham gig and it did a great job at keeping the battery charged up. It was a great day to be outside and I had full sun where I sat it out and had a chance to hook up a meter and watch the charge rate with full sun, some shadow and a full umbrella covering the panel. Worked like a charm. Love the water resistance as well. Great add to my park bag!

Worth the money

So far so good put it on my Rv to keep the battery charged up very easy to install. I put double sided Velcro tape on it to the side of the camper to hold it in the sunlight.

Super High-Quality 30 w solar panel

This solar panel is somewhat flexible, though I wouldn't bend it. If feels like my other name brand solar panels that are way more expensive. It does put out the watts, I got 21 watts in the hot desert sun. I expect to get more once cooler weather comes around. It comes with all the connectors you will need to maintain your battery.

Semi-flexible, weatherproof solar charger for car or other 12v batteries

This solar trickle charging system arrived securely in a nicely protective box. In addition to the panel, the package includes 3 types of battery attachments, each connectable to the panel with standard SAE connectors. There's a zippered bag to store the O-ring, car power plug, and alligator clip cables when not in use. There are also 4 very sturdy suction cups and 2 hanging clips included to keep your solar panel in place when in use.I have an infrequently used van that I wanted to keep charged, and thought this would be a good fit. I was hoping the car power (aka cigarette lighter) port would work, with the solar panel in the front window, but sadly the port is not active unless the ignition is on.I ended up using the O-ring terminal cable attached to the battery terminals, and running the cable through the front grill. The SAE connectors on the ends of the cables have waterproof covers to keep them from getting wet or dirty when not in use, so that works for my needs (after making sure it wasn't going to flap around or get into any moving parts while driving.)I ended up mounting the solar panel on my fence, which is right next to the van parking space, and close enough to connect to the O-ring cable when I want to use the charger. The solar panel has a built-in charge controller with status LEDs (showing solar power available, charging, and fully-charged) mounted on the back side. This would be ideal to see if I had the panel mounted in the front window, but until I find a way through the firewall under-dash, I'm stuck with keeping the panel outside the van. Sadly, I can't see the back of the panel when mounted on the fence.I suppose if I really wanted to see the status LEDs, I could suction cup the panel to the outside of the windshield, but as long as it keeps the battery charged, I'll just assume it's doing the right thing while mounted on the fence.Anyhow, I'm really happy with how it seems to be working, as the battery charge is going up even though I only get 3 to 4 hours of sunlight on the panel a day in its current location. I'm looking forward to not needing to jumpstart the van every time I want to use it.Actual rating: 4.9 (since I can't see the charge controller status LEDs from the front of the solar panel)

Great battery maintainer

So I have a classic Chevy C10 truck and I really didn't want the battery to die or have to continually charge it. So what I usually do is run a cable for my garage to a trickle charger in the truck and let the battery be maintained that way. In order to say power and kind of be more environmentally friendly, I decide to order this and hook it up.And so far, my batter's been maintained with no issues. This is a much better option than plugging. In to your wall and draining your battery or your house power. In this case, solar with the Sun keeps your 12V going. You don't have to replace the battery.

Thin solar panel, no storage case

This solar charger has been a game changer for me. I mostly leave my second car in the driveway, and during winter, the battery would often discharge. With this, I just place the solar panel on the dash, and it keeps my battery charged using sunlight. No more hassle of constantly checking or starting the car! A lot of cars will sometimes have a rubber plug in the firewall that you can thread these cables through, but mine doesn't. I run the cables at the top corner of the door where it's closest to the battery, and it fits nicely.I love that it has multiple connection options, jumper clips, screw contacts, or plugging into the car's cigarette lighter. It also prevents overcharging or reverse polarity, which gives me peace of mind. The best part is I can even use it for other things like an RV or boat. The solar panel itself is also a lot thinner than I thought it would be. It's fairly lightweight too. My only wish is that this came with a protective bag for when storing it.Overall, it's reliable, easy to set up, and works perfectly without needing constant attention. Highly recommended if you want to keep your batteries topped off effortlessly!

perfect storage tender

I was looking for a plug in battery tender for winter storage and came across this wonderful upgrade. It can be mounted with zip ties, or the included snap hooks or suction cups. It comes with a permanent adapter to mount to your battery, a trickle charge adapter with jumper ends, and a car/truck plug in charge adapter for a cigarette lighter install. It automatically senses the voltage on the battery, charges it up to nominal, and keeps it charged up to the perfect voltage while turning itself on and off as needed. A very smart and no-worry battery maintainer for car or RV or boat. Nice price and well designed, and no need to worry about cords or power bills.

I don't use my car enough as I do so little traveling. This is great for keeping the charged up.

In recent years as Winter sets in I put my car in the detached garage pop the hood and connect a trickle charger. It's a pain to access it, the garage is way in back of the property, I have to plug in the main door as the local tech school has a security frequency that triggers my opener, so I keep the motor unplugged. Most of the time I prefer to keep my car in the driveway. If I don't drive it for a few days and the battery is discharged, it can lead to buying a new one. This is fantastic it has three ways to connect, a harness connecting the 30-Watt, 12 Volt solar panel with either battery jumper clips, screw down contacts, or the best one in this case a cigar lighter plug in. I can put this panel on the dash, and it will get plenty of sun sitting in the driveway to keep it charged.Thats what works for me, but you can use this to keep a separate 12 Volt battery charged for a power supply for a boat or RV, or a power bank device you might take camping or use in case of bad weather and a power outage. It's also protected from reversing the poles when using the clips or screw downs, and not draining the power when the sun is down or over charging when there is sun. Great if you have a second car like I used to have that is not used as much. I used to have a van with a small crane in it to pick-up powered chairs and scooters for the mall. My parents didn't walk to well and they used it. The connecting to the battery for some reason even when not in use would drain the battery, so I had to disconnect it. I even had a wayward glove box light that stayed on and drained the battery on another vehicle. I only have one car today, but I like to keep it running and ready and with this I don't have to start it as often to check the battery and keep it charged. Recommended.
