The actual output power of a 450W solar panel is typically lower than its rated power due to several factors:

  • Solar Irradiance: Rated power is measured under Standard Test Conditions (STC), which assume optimal conditions: 1000W/m² of sunlight, a panel temperature of 25°C, and direct sunlight. In real conditions, sunlight intensity is often lower due to cloud cover, time of day, or geographical factors, leading to reduced output.
  • Temperature: Solar panels lose efficiency as their temperature rises. High temperatures cause a decrease in output power, as most panels have a negative temperature coefficient, meaning their output decreases as the temperature increases.
  • Angle and Orientation: If the panel is not positioned to directly face the sun or at the optimal angle, it will receive less sunlight, resulting in lower output.
  • Panel Aging: Over time, solar panels degrade, and their efficiency decreases. Typically, panels retain around 80% of their original output after 25 years.

Loving this panel to power up my Jackery 1000 and 3000

Bought this for my Jackery 1000 and 3000 Plus. I can't believe how much juice it's producing. My first use was charging the 1000 up, it was at 22%, I checked on it 3 hours later and it was already 100%. Love this panel! It will not be my last purchase from Zoupw

So good I bought 2!

I bought this 450 watt panel because of the great reviews on Youtube. It seemed to be the perfect solution to my problem which is limited full sun exposure in my yard due to surrounding trees and houses.
I have an Anker F2000 that I bought for power outages that came with a 400 watt panel. I love Anker products but their 400 watt panel is heavy, ungainly, and never gave me anything near 400 watts. I needed something that was lighter, easier to set up and with a greater power output. My goal is to be able to power up the F2000 within the 5 or so hours of sunlight I get in my yard. The ZOUPW 450 did the job! I live in northeastern New Jersey so there’s always something in the atmosphere. But I got well over 400 watts consistently. And that’s after going thru 90’ of 10 gauge MC4 cable! If you count taking it out of the padded storage bag it took me about 15 minutes to set up. It’s big but it’s lightweight, well built and easy to move around.
I have since bought a second one and ran them in parallel and got 650 to 740 watts in hazy sun. When it gets cloudy things drop off dramatically like all panels but it still performs better than my Anker 400s. ZOUPW customer service is great too. Friendly and responsive. I am a satisfied customer.

First time buying panels and these seem really good compared to competition at this price. I tested them the other day and got nearly 450W in not optimal sun, so I'm impressed. Came well packed and the extension cable is good quality too.
